ACE is led by individuals who share a commitment to making a difference in mental health and/or substance abuse recovery.
At each meeting individuals in Recovery, Peer Specialists and stakeholders within the mental health, substance abuse and other community meet to discuss advocacy issues, education, training, and peer support.
The Consumer Network of Miami-Dade was established to promote recovery, leadership and advocacy training for individuals in Recovery.
The Department of Children and Families and Thriving Mind also known as South Florida Behavioral Health Network, Inc. (SFBHN) are actively involved with the Consumer Network of Miami-Dade and promote Person-driven leadership.
As we move towards a more Recovery Oriented System of Care, we agreed to move forward and change our name to reflect our commitment to recovery through Peer Support. Our membership was active involved in the Name Contest and ALLIANCE FOR CHANGE AND EMPOWERMENT was a product of such.
Thank you!
